How To Reset My Wireless router?

There are many reasons Why to reset your WIFI router to it's factory default settings.

 - If you forgot your Router admin password and you cannot access it's configuration page.

 - If you feel bad internet performance and want to start over with fresh settings. 

We have two ways to reset your router to factory settings: 

 - Soft Reset ... 

   Through Router configuration page itself and this could work with you if you know your router IP address and login username and password.

   will give example below on one of our routers dlink DSL-224.

 - Hard Reset ...

   By pressing Reset button found on your router.

   please note that the location of the Reset button may vary from router to another.

 

Resetting wireless Router using Web-Based configuration page.

1.  Open your browser ( internet explorer, Google chrome, Firefox , ...)
2.  Type your router IP address, Common default router IP addresses like 192.168.1.1 , 192.168.0.1 , 10.0.0.2
3.  Enter you router login information, Username and password, For DSL-224 default username and password :admin
4.  Click on Maintenance - then Click on Reset to default. 
5.  Reset process will take effect in few seconds.

Resetting your router to default factory settings will erase all settings on it and you have to re-Configure it from beginning.

Resetting dlink DSL-224 wireless Router using Reset Button.

Step 1 :

           Using a paper clip or similar object press and hold reset button on the side panel of          DSL-224 Router for approximately 30 Seconds.

           you will notice that all router lights will be flashing, Stop pressing reset button.

Step 2 :

            Power off Your DSL-224 router And then Power it on again.

Hard reset steps are same for all other brands, only location of reset button may be vary from router to another or from brand to another but same procedures.
